DEVOTIONAL: WE ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN FOR NOTHING

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. Psalms 145:8-9 (NIV)

Every human being on earth who believes in God must also believe in his goodness and faithfulness. But not all of the goodness of God, we as human could really do understand. Example are, why there are some trials and testing in life? Why there are so many problems do we need to encounter? We must understand first that all these things are given in this world. Including our lives, trials and testing, and problems but need to always remember,we are not created as like an orphan. Indeed, we are so special and are called children of God full of hope in Christ. God also provide us a clear guide for us to live in this uncertain world and that is his word (James 1:2-4).

In this case we can relate this situation to a biological father who loves his family and children  so much. When we were still small kids NOT everything we wanted during those times were good for us though. Example as a kid all our happiness is to have a toy and play.When we wanted a gun to play, we don’t have an idea which one is real and which one are toys. So, our dads help us and have to buy for us the toy gun for you and for all safety. And of course, there were times that we still choose what we wanted to have but here comes a loving father who always ready to watch over you, keep listening and then explaining for you to understand the things around you. And even ready to give discipline you if not to listen to him. Discipline always cost us so much pain but help us to be straighten and learned.And it's all for love for us our biological fathers have.How much more our Heavenly Father's have?

How abundance is the grace of the Lord? How broad and deep is the goodness of our Loving God, our Loving Father in heaven have? How compassionate he is to his beloved children? His thought and plans are not only for the good of one person alone, but it is for all. Specially to those who love him (Romans 8:28). He is allowing everything to happens to us  for a specific reason that even when we failed he remain so patience and slow to anger to us. In every circumstances, in his love we can find a complete protection by answering our individual prayers with a “Silence, No, and sometimes Wait,” that sometimes we misunderstood. With that, it doesn’t mean our Heavenly Father is not working for it or punishing us. We have to know the truth that in our every prayer and petition to him, we should always start it by faith. Faith is all we need for us to feel and see how God is preparing for his answer. For he knew which are the things is the best for you even before you ask for it. Therefore, we should keep the courage to claim it also.

And sometimes God answered is Yes, it is ready my child! But the problem is from ourselves, for we are not yet ready to have it personally and so it causes the delay. We need to check ourselves day by day and have to learn this, while waiting for God’s answer we also need to prepare. Meaning, while God is working for us,and surely he is, we should also need to do our part. It is to seek him first, his kingdom and his righteousness consistently (Matthew 6:33). God is an all-knowing God.He is faithful in his promises and the key to fulfill it for us is our obedience.

Now, in connection to the love of our biological father towards the love of our Heavenly Father, both of them loves us. But a biological father cannot even build a family or cannot love his family and children without the love of God dwelling in him. For a life of a certain person if without the word of God, is really unguided and completely blinded. How could the blind can guide someone?

When it comes to providing the needs of a family, a biological father, even the riches one is not able to satisfied the life of his love ones. Many in this world are so rich financially, but as we can see,how their lives ruined by their money, become addicted in drugs, some committed suicide and it is because they could not find themselves as being satisfied. It is because of lack of the most important thing in life, a personal relationship to God. Without God we will never feel satisfied for he is the only great Father and a great provider who is able to feed our thirst and hunger. With him there is a completed peace and understanding that will lead us to live a life easier and lighter (Matthew 11:28-30). And his love is for all and it is unconditional that endures forevermore (Romans 5:8-9).

All we need do is to live by faith and with obedience to his commandments.

"We are not a Christian for nothing."

God made us with so much abundance of his riches: 

We are so much rich in love, care, guide and protection against all the power of the darkness brought to us by Christ Jesus.

We are so much valued and loved as family of God (Ephesians 1:5)

We are saved and prepared to do greater things (John 14:12)

We are empowered and completely guided till the end (Matthew 28:20)

We are victorious in Christ Jesus already (Corinthians 15:57)

Again, and again have Faith!

DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat.
