A Christian Mission Is To Be Disciple and Make Disciples Too
Disciple Meaning
-someone who is a believer/follower of Jesus Christ.
-being changed by Jesus Christ
-someone who is committed to be part of the mission of Jesus Christ (Matt. 4:19).
DISCIPLE MAKING –a mission of every Christian, entering into a personal connection with one another, applying the love of Christ Jesus which is unconditional. And this is to help and convince people to know more about Christ Jesus personally using his biblical teaching. Building each other trust and together encouraging one another to accept and follow Jesus Christ the Lord (Matt. 28:18–20), which includes the whole process from conversion through maturation and multiplication. As Jesus Christ commanded to his disciples before he rose up in heaven after his resurrection…
Matthew 28:18-20
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Therefore, if you are a believer/follower of Christ Jesus you are authorized to do so. First, be a disciple in the name of Christ. Submit to God not in human doctrines/man-made tradition nor a religion. Salvation can be found only in one Name given from heaven above (Acts 4:12). Being saved is not safe to sit and seated. We ought to continue the mission, the disciple making, to find the lost soul, our brethren/family in Christ Jesus. To bring them back to Christ Jesus and find the real meaning of life. This is how we can show our love for God, through this process we can prove to him that we love one another.
If you do this with a humble heart before the Lord for his name and glory, you have done the will of the Lord as like the rest of his 12 disciples (Matthew 22:36-40).
Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
