DEVOTIONAL: Someday Our Lives Will Become a Story

What kind of story do you want to be?

In this world whether you are doing good or bad there will be a different negative interpretation. People will always have a negative comment in all our deeds.

So, what make sense when even doing good has nothing to gain? Examples are in politics, how is it so familiar to us nowadays? Even in our own home, family, career and circles of friends?

Well, it may seem like everything are useless when even your good deeds are being ignored and rejected. And it is so unfair when you see some are doing bad things but it become known and being appreciated by the crowd because of power of money and authority.

As Christians,this made us realized the real picture of the world where we are today. It is so darkened by the personal interest of mankind, pride and beliefs.

So, where we will be if good are being covered with bad things in this world?

It seems like we are hopeless!

Shall we join in the darkness of the world?

Where can we find hope and find the light in this darken world?

What can we do? Please Read Ephesians 5:1-20 New International Version

 1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them.

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,

    rise from the dead,

    and Christ will shine on you.”

 

15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

LET US CHECK OUR HEARTS:

Am I still sleeping in the darkness? Jesus said, wake up! Rise up from the dead!

Do I have the light of my life? Jesus said, here I am! John 8:12.

Start your story now with Christ Jesus.

Choose to do good things according to him not according by men to please God.

Matthew 19:17 Jesus said, “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

The truth is we cannot create our own good story without Christ Jesus shining upon us. That is how important is the word of God to each of us for Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

And your story will shine before the Lord and has no ending for every story that will God glory will remain and become everlasting with an inheritance of Christ kingdom in heaven.

To God be all the glory forever and ever. Amen!

DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing.
