DEVOTIONAL: EVERYONE’S CALLING, CHILDREN OF GOD LISTEN! 1Peter 1-25

“Be holy, because I am holy.”

V13 -16 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;

for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

 Holiness is not for us to be perfect in everything we do, but it is a natural result of a certain life of a person who genuinely accepted Christ Jesus and continuously living with him by faith, the Holy One.

So“Be holy, because the Lord our God is holy.”

H-Holiness is a life that God really wants us to live

O-Obedience in his commands

L-Living by faith in the name of Christ

Y-Yielding godliness in life with love and humility

DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat.
