DEVOTIONAL : WHAT WOULD YOU PRAY FOR?

WHAT WOULD YOU PRAY FOR?

                                 MATTHEW 6:5-15

WHY DO WE PRAY?

AS ALWAYS WHY WE PRAY BECAUSE WE NEED HELP, GUIDANCE AND SOMETHING WE WANTED TO HAVE. HOW TO PRAY?

ACNCHOR VERSE :MATTHEW 6:9-13

9 Pray then like this:“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

10 Your kingdom come, your will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread,

12and forgive us our debts,as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Jesus Christ Teaching on how to pray…there are things we shod do and not to do …but to pray should be like this…What does it mean?To memorize it? No! But this is our guide on how to talk to a Holy and Mighty God.

ACROSTIC GUIDE: PRAY

P- PRAISE GOD ALONE IN EVERYTHING

R- REMEMBER EVERYTHING HE HAS DONE

A- ASK ACCORDING TO HIS WILL

Y- YOU HAVE TO FORGIVE OTHERS

CLOSING:

Prayer is not a simple words just to say it and ask whatever we need.It is our personal communication to our Holy and Mighty God knowing and believing that He is listening and will answer to us.Our God is  an all-knowing God. He knows everything inside our hearts before we speak and ask .And in that we have to check also our hearts if the motive of our prayer is fit to his holiness?

CHALLENGE:

-Pray with a heart for His kingdom to be spread to our families.

-Know what is God’s will personally - Seek it first

-Forgive others…Did you?

MEMORY VERSE: MATTHEW 6:7

And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.

DEVOTIONAL: SALVATION MEANING AND ITS IMPORTANCE

Salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences—which include death and separation from God—by Christ's death and resurrection, and everyone who accept this truth will be restored through faith and have eternal life. Note, that the word death here is not about a physical death but a spiritual death. So, this spiritual death and separation from God start from the time when humans disobeyed God which is written in the book of Genesis 3 ( please read the full chapter ) . Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. And because God so love the world He made a way in which He sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to deliver and redeem us from being perished because of our transgressions and sin. John 3:16 , which says, "For God so loved the world that he g...

EVIDENCE OF A TRUE CHRISTIAN FAMILY JOHN:13:1-17 ANCHOR VERSE John 13:12-14 12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.  TO WASH ONE ANOTHER’S FEET AS JESUS CHRIST COMMANDED TO HIS DISCPLES IS NOT WHAT WE   LITERALLY  THINK  BUT IT'S ALL ABOUT A SPIRITUAL CLEANSING . WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM ARE ALREADY CONSIDERED AS CLEAN AND ARE ALSO ENTRUSTED TO CLEAN THOSE UNCLEAN BY SHARING THE GOSPEL IN HIS NAME. ACROSTIC GUIDE: WASH W-WORD OF GOD   -The word of God has a divine cleansing power to purify us from uncleanliness through faith in Christ. -16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant ...

DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat. We have to choose wisely our path by changing our mindsets and behaviour by walking towards a better way of living   fixing our eyes to Jesus.   This involves acknowledging one's actions base not by human judgement but by what Christ Jesus teaching, and committing to a change in attitude and actions in the name of Christ Jesus. A key verse on repentance is 1 John 1...
