THE WICKEDNESS OF HUMAN RACE ON EARTH || GENESIS 6:1-22

ANCHOR VERSE: 17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. 18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. GENESIS 6:17-18

LIVING BY THE  SPIRIT  || PURE HEART PURE SPIRIT || GENESIS 6:1-22 SERIES 2

To take care of our physical purity, mental purity or moral purity, has a major factor in our lives being Christians because all of these being put together is called our spiritual purity. God created human PURE, being made in his own image or likeness.

ACROSTIC GUIDE: PURE

P-Physical, Mental and Moral

SIN:  The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.

Wickedness is the spirit of evil, an enemy’s trap and the plan is always to destroy our spiritual relationship to God.

WICKED SPIRIT CHARACTERISTICS‼️

W-alking according to what has the world's teaching.
I-n their lives there is no satisfactions, all for flesh desire and pride!
C-ompromising the will of God with their own desire.
K-neeling down with their gods but not true God.
E-mpowering evil doings with justifications.
D-estroying our spiritual life and relationship with Christ Jesus.

-1 Corinthians 6:18-20||18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.

-And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17

U-UNMIXED BELIEF OR FAITH

-Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.

-Exodus 20-1-6 And God spoke all these words:

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

3 “You shall have no other gods before me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

R- READY TO DO GOD’S WILL WITH COMMITMENT

-Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

-And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. 2 JOHN 1:6

E-EVERYTING IS FULLY ENTRUSTED TO GOD ALONE

-Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

CLOSING:

-Take care of your physical purity, mental purity or moral purity, for all of these affects our SPIRITUAL PURITY.

-God said and promised Noah and to all his generation including all of us, everything on earth will perish. But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ARK or in his Kingdom in heaven—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you. 

CHALLENGE:

God created us PURE, being made in his own image or likeness so STAY PURE.

Repent! Walk in love, the freedom from all kinds of wickedness or sin!

For Noah was considered a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time because he walked faithfully with God: then we must be a faithful servant of God.

Stay clean therefore, before the Lord not in human beings for the real judge is coming!

Let’s all take each of our step with perseverance by faith being sure we ourselves, our family and love ones will be able to get inside the ARK when the earth destruction comes. 


MEMORY VERSE:

And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. 2 JOHN 1:6

DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat. We have to choose wisely our path by changing our mindsets and behaviour by walking towards a better way of living   fixing our eyes to Jesus.   This involves acknowledging one's actions base not by human judgement but by what Christ Jesus teaching, and committing to a change in attitude and actions in the name of Christ Jesus.
