Salt is used commonly for preserving foods and have a satisfying taste. Jesus said we are the salt of the earth. As we received God's amazing grace through Christ, our Heavenly Father open the door for us for blessings of knowledge and wisdom through the help the Holy Spirit that living within us. Having the knowledge and understanding of the truth who set us free from the sin, Christ Jesus preserved us against death and gives us eternal life.

In that way, whatever his commands and promises for us through his word we need to preserve it as well in our hearts to become salt to anyone for them to taste the goodness and love of God specially to those who did not know Christ Jesus. While Jesus Christ is the center of our lives, focusing our eyes unto him alone who is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, his light will always dwelling and shining upon us. For he is our strongest foundation to keep our lamp lights on and shining in this darken world. It is a great privilege to be a child of God through him as our Savior and given a chance to be the light of the world. Therefore shine your life in Christ Jesus  by giving back yourselves to him,  encouraging one another and having fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Giving back the  tithes and offerings, time, talents and be a blessing to others and do it for the glory of God alone. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled (Matthew 5:6).

READING  Matthew 5:13-16

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

DEVOTIONAL: SALVATION MEANING AND ITS IMPORTANCE

Salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences—which include death and separation from God—by Christ's death and resurrection, and everyone who accept this truth will be restored through faith and have eternal life. Note, that the word death here is not about a physical death but a spiritual death. So, this spiritual death and separation from God start from the time when humans disobeyed God which is written in the book of Genesis 3 ( please read the full chapter ) . And because God so love the world He made a way in which He sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to deliver and redeem us from being perished because of our transgressions and sin. John 3:16 , which says, "For God so loved the world that he g...

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat. We have to choose wisely our path by changing our mindsets and behaviour by walking towards a better way of living   fixing our eyes to Jesus.   This involves acknowledging one's actions base not by human judgement but by what Christ Jesus teaching, and committing to a change in attitude and actions in the name of Christ Jesus.
