DEVOTIONAL : KNOWING JESUS CHRIST

John 3:1-21

Knowing about who Jesus Christ, is the beginning of wisdom that will help us to possess knowledge, information, or understanding about his perfect will and plans for us.

I remember when I was a child at 6yrs old, when I heard my two elder brothers sharing about the word of God saying Jesus is the Lord and we need to accept him as our savior. As I grew up from grade school up to college it was still in my mind  that belief which I only heard. Attending the church and activities for so many reasons. I never tried to look for a deeper knowledge about the name of Jesus Christ.

Here in our reading Nicodemus a man of Pharisees which is a ruler of the Jews meaning this man is a religious leader who is knowledgeable about the word of God, came to Jesus at night and said, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

Nicodemus as religious leader man of Pharisees knows that Jesus is from God but he has so many questions of what Jesus Christ has told him. So many people knew that Jesus is Lord but when we ask about the word of God they become silent and even don't ask. Like Nicodemus knowing Jesus Christ is not enough, but be intentional to have a personal conversation to him one on one by reading the word of God with a humble heart, in the  bible.

Remember this, to be born again is not a religion but it is a command of God that we must be born again in order for us to understand his will, his command and his plans for us for the furtherance of his kingdom. Born again is a life that Jesus Christ wants us to live, a humble and obedient heart, living a life away from sins, away from gods of the world(lust of the flesh and own selfish desires).

We are all dead to the Lord because of our transgressions and sins, all are fallen short to the glory of God and we deserve to die in hell. But because of the goodness of God by his grace we are all alive and saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. That is why the Lord commanding us that we must be born again, as we all know his name we have to believe that Jesus died for you to live, he is your personal savior and to believe is to obey what you have heard and read in the bible through faith. Be born again. Amen!

B- Believe that Jesus is your personal Lord, God and savior
O- Obey his commands
R- Rise up and know more about  Jesus Christ
N- No to sin

A-  Accept the truth, we must be born again
G- Go spread the good news that you have heard and read from the bible
A-  All are sinners, we all need Christ
I-  Interact with people for so many are hunger and thirst with love of the Lord
N- Never die, for whoever believes in the name Jesus Christ will live forever in heaven

To God be all the Glory!

DEVOTIONAL: SALVATION MEANING AND ITS IMPORTANCE

Salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the saving of human beings from sin and its consequences—which include death and separation from God—by Christ's death and resurrection, and everyone who accept this truth will be restored through faith and have eternal life. Note, that the word death here is not about a physical death but a spiritual death. So, this spiritual death and separation from God start from the time when humans disobeyed God which is written in the book of Genesis 3 ( please read the full chapter ) . Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. And because God so love the world He made a way in which He sent his one and only son Jesus Christ to deliver and redeem us from being perished because of our transgressions and sin. John 3:16 , which says, "For God so loved the world that he g...

DEVOTIONAL: A TRUE CHRISTIAN FAMILY JOHN:13:1-17

EVIDENCE OF A TRUE CHRISTIAN FAMILY JOHN:13:1-17 ANCHOR VERSE John 13:12-14 12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.  TO WASH ONE ANOTHER’S FEET AS JESUS CHRIST COMMANDED TO HIS DISCPLES IS NOT WHAT WE   LITERALLY  THINK  BUT IT'S ALL ABOUT A SPIRITUAL CLEANSING . WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM ARE ALREADY CONSIDERED AS CLEAN AND ARE ALSO ENTRUSTED TO CLEAN THOSE UNCLEAN BY SHARING THE GOSPEL IN HIS NAME. ACROSTIC GUIDE: WASH W-WORD OF GOD   -The word of God has a divine cleansing power to purify us from uncleanliness through faith in Christ. -16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant ...

DEVOTIONAL: IMPORTANCE OF REPENTANCE

Repentance is important because it allows for forgiveness, spiritual growth, and a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is an act of turning away from sin and walk toward a path of a healthy spiritual life  which leads to freedom from guilt, healing, and a fresh start. It is often seen as a prerequisite for spiritual progress and salvation. It is also an  act of feeling remorse for all the past wrongdoing. Knowing also that in every mistake that we are going to commit in this present and in the future has a consequences(including the past). So it is called to repent and not to repeat. We have to choose wisely our path by changing our mindsets and behaviour by walking towards a better way of living   fixing our eyes to Jesus.   This involves acknowledging one's actions base not by human judgement but by what Christ Jesus teaching, and committing to a change in attitude and actions in the name of Christ Jesus. A key verse on repentance is 1 John 1...
